DIVERSE STORYTELLING AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
A graduate of Sophia University in Tokyo with a law degree and an MFA in Photography from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, Nagamitsu joined the New York-based U.S. production unit of NHK, the Japanese public broadcaster and went on to produce, direct, shot and edited numerous documentaries and live events covering a wide range of subjects, from the events following 9/11 to the Afghan War, the Iraq War, the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, Gun Violence in Chicago, Racial Disparity in America, and the legacies of jazz legends Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.
Before founding NAGAVISION INC. in 2023, Nagamitsu led a core group of elite creative and technical crew specializing in 8K and 4K content for NHK's full-blown 8K/4K broadcast channel in Japan. This role allowed him to utilize his deep understanding of optics, visual narrative, and rigorous technical standards.
Nagamitsu is a SIGMA Ambassador and a mentor for the Brent Renaud Foundation. He is also one of the co-producers of the 2026 Oscar-nominated documentary short, Armed Only With A Camera: The Life and Death of Brent Renaud, directed and produced by Brent and Craig Renaud.

２００１年９月１１日の同時多発テロ事件からアフガン侵攻、イラク戦争、キューバ革命５０周年、シカゴの銃暴力、アメリカの人種差別などをテーマに多数のドキュメンタリー番組を制作。NHKの８K／４K放送の創世記にはその技術の普及に奔走し、放送技術の粋を駆使したジャズライブを始めとする多数の音楽番組の制作に携わる。２０２３年独立、NAGAVISION INC. を設立。SIGMA のアンバサダー並びにブレント・ルノー財団のメンターを務める傍ら、２０２６年アカデミー賞短編ドキュメンタリー部門のノミネート作品、Armed Only With A Camera: The Life and Death of Brent Renaud のコープロデューサーを務めた。
