After landing a job at the New York-based U.S. production unit of NHK, the Japanese public broadcaster, Nagamitsu went on to produce, direct, and edit numerous documentaries and live events covering a wide range of subjects, from the events following 9/11 to the Afghan War, the Iraq War, the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, Gun Violence in America, Racial Disparity in America, and the legacies of jazz legends Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock.
Before founding NAGAVISION INC. in 2023, Nagamitsu led an expert creative and technical team specializing in 8K and 4K content for NHK's full-blown 8K/4K broadcast channel in Japan. This role allowed him to utilize his deep understanding of optics, visual narrative, and rigorous technical standards.

上智大法学部卒、プラット・インスティテュート大学院芸術学部写真専攻科修了。ニューヨークの写真エージェンシー、映像制作会社勤務を経てNHKの米国関連会社に入社後、ディレクター、プロデューサーとして２００１年９月１１日の同時多発テロ事件を契機にアフガン侵攻、イラク戦争、キューバ革命５０周年、アメリカの銃暴力、人種差別などをテーマに多数のドキュメンタリー番組を制作。NHKの８K／４K放送の創世記にはその技術の世界展開に奔走し、最新鋭の放送技術を駆使したジャズライブをはじめとする多数の音楽番組の制作に携わる。２０２３年独立、NAGAVISION INC. を設立。
